The Provincial Exhibition of Manitoba, in association with Fusion Credit Union, are excited to have the WoofJocks Canine All Stars back at the Royal Manitoba Winter Fair this week.
The WoofJocks Show will play an integral part of the attractions scheduled for the Fair, which will open up Monday, March 28 and run through Saturday, April 2 at the Keystone Centre. The WoofJocks made their debut at the local event in 2019 (both 2020 and 2021 were cancelled due to the pandemic) and Fusion couldn’t be happier about having them back this spring.
Based out of Ontario, the group was established in 2004 in order to showcase the feats dogs and their owners can conquer with a little training and a lot of love.
The show is centered around the power of animals to bring people together.
“It’s amazing what these dogs can do,” says WoofJocks production manager and host Karen Sandford. “Everybody, they stop and stare and then their mouths open…they are pointing and launghing.”
Over twenty dogs will be coming to the Fair and crowds can again expect to see dogs of all shapes sizes and breeds performing feats of marvel and humour. Their entire act is choreographed in order to create a show that is entertaining for the entire family.
“All the dogs in the show are first and foremost family dogs,” Standford went on to say. “They’ve all been trained using positive reinforcement.”
The Canine All Stars have created a one of a kind entertainment experience that the fans will remember and Fusion’s Chief Operations Officer, Leanne DeVliegere couldn’t be happier about bringing them back this spring.
“We are thrilled to be collaborating with the Woof Jocks and are proud of our involvement with their family-oriented show,” says DeVliegere. The Fusion team will be offering free pictures of the canine all stars at the daily Meet and Greet. “We encourage all Woof Jocks fans to visit Salon A following the afternoon show and have a picture taken with one of the dogs, courtesy of Fusion Credit Union.”
Tickets to the Royal Manitoba Winter Fair are on sale now.
The Fair officially kicked off Monday morning at the Dome building with the Sunrise Credit Union Western Breakfast from 7-10 am, presented by Chemtrade, Heritage Co-op, 94.7 Star FM and 91.5 Q Country FM, and attracted close to 750.
