Brandon, MB. – As the countdown to the 2024 Royal Manitoba Winter Fair continues, the Provincial Exhibition of Manitoba is excited to unveil some of its events and attractions for this year’s Show.

In addition to the Cattle and Horse Shows, the Exhibition has announced plans that will see the return of the TD AG Action Stage, Royal Farmyard, Petting Farmyard and the Royal Experiences.

As well, the popular Woof Jocks Canine All Star Show, presented by Fusion Credit Union, will be back as well as new and exciting events such as the following:

  • Truco Trick Riders
  • Las Vegas style Grand Illusion Magic and Muse Family Show
  • Jo Jo’s Magic Circus
  • Indigenous singers, dancers and jiggers
  • Scottish Highland Dancers
  • Doodles

“I couldn’t be more excited about this year’s entertainment lineup,” says Provincial Exhibition General Manager Mark Humphries. “We’re so excited to unveil plans for the Royal Manitoba Winter Fair today. This is such an important event for our community and for our province. It’s a great tourism draw.”

“I think that we’re going to have a great Winter Fair this year,” he added.

Beside the various events and attractions, Humphries has been happy with the Trade Show sales to this point.

According to Trade Show Manager Macayla Lyons “well over 100 exhibitors have been confirmed which is a significant increase over what was done in 2023.”

Exhibits can be found throughout the Curling Club, Cattle Country, UCT Pavillion, Westoba Place, the main concourse and hallways as well as the Manitoba Room, which will feature food trucks, carnival rides and the Manitoba Hydro Entertainment Stage. There will be more kids entertainment on the Shur Gro Farm Services Stage in the Keystone Centre Amphitheatre.

Among the many entertainers expected to take the stage this year include Winnipeg’s Fred Penner.

The 75-year old Penner, who will be appearing on the Shur Gro Amphitheatre Stage on RBC Family Day Wednesday, brings 45 years of commitment, consistency and depth to a career that skillfully blends the many genres of performing and communication.

Dubbed “Mr. Multi Media” by Billboard Magazine, his diverse repertoire includes a prolific twelve children’s albums, countless live shows and writing the score and hosting the TV documentary The Simple Way.
