After enduring a two-year pandemic battle, which forced the cancellation of both the 2020 and 2021 events, the Royal Manitoba Winter Fair is set to return Monday in Brandon.
The six-day fair, which concludes on Saturday, April 2, will open up with the annual Sunrise Credit Union Western Breakfast and for the first time ever, it will be held in the historic Dome Building on the Keystone Centre grounds.
This year’s breakfast will run from 7:00 – 10:00 am and will cost just $5. Those attending are encouraged to bring a non-perishable food item to be donated to the Samaritan House Ministries.
The annual event is a presentation of Chemtrade, Heritage Co-op, Burnbrae, McCains, Sobey’s, 91.5 Q Country Radio and 94.7 Star FM.
Staff from Sunrise Credit Union, Star FM and Q Country Radio will be serving breakfast, while Brandon Chamber of Commerce President, Barry Cooper, will be the official “greeter” inside the doors.
This year’s fair will feature the very best in family entertainment – from Tom Bishop’s Wild West Show – presented by P. Quintaine, Redfern Farm Services and Cenovus Energy to the Fusion Credit Union WoofJocks Canine All Stars and the Royal Farmyard, presented by Maple Leaf Foods and Peavy Mart.
Tickets to the Royal Manitoba Winter Fair are on sale online and children (12 and under) will have until Sunday night to receive “free” tickets, compliments of J&G Homes.
