The Provincial Exhibition of Manitoba is proud to announce its re-elected and newly appointed Board of Directors following the Annual Shareholders Meeting held on November 21, 2024, at the historic Dome Building. The organization also celebrated a significant milestone, recognizing Lil Bok as this year’s recipient of the prestigious Jim Figol Volunteer Award.
Honoring Lil Bok
Lil Bok received the Jim Figol Award, an honour bestowed upon volunteers who exemplify the dedication and spirit of the late Jim Figol, a foundational figure in the history of the Provincial Exhibition. Lil’s tireless commitment as Hitching Ring Chair, her leadership in organizing volunteers, and her readiness to contribute across various roles, from managing ribbons to serving food at events, have left an indelible mark on the organization.
“Lil has been a cornerstone of our team, embodying the very spirit of community and dedication that Jim Figol stood for,” said Clint Swain, President and Acting General Manager. “Her transition to honorary director status is not a farewell but a celebration of her unwavering contributions. We look forward to her continued presence as a valued member of our organization.”
Welcoming New Directors
The Provincial Exhibition extends its gratitude to retiring directors Brendon Sayers and Jess Humphries and honorary directors Lil Bok and Debbie Burgess for their years of service.
The Board of Directors for 2025 includes:
- Re-Elected Directors (3-Year Terms):
Barb Andrew, Candace Bowles, Tom Hutcheson, Calvin Jacobson, Brent Miller, Tim Rowan, Mike Sanderson, Gary Schott, Clint Swain, and Don Mitchell. - New Directors: (3-Year Terms):
Connie Bok, Zizi Onyia, and Paul Maloney.
A Bright Future Ahead
After navigating a challenging year, the Provincial Exhibition of Manitoba is pleased to announce it is emerging from a deficit, positioning the organization for an exciting 2025.
“We are thrilled to be on a solid financial footing as we look ahead to a year of growth and opportunity,” said Swain. “Our team has worked tirelessly to ensure the success of our events, and we are optimistic about the future.”

- Sunday, November 24: 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM
