Royal Manitoba Winter Fair Announces Cancellation of Barrel Racing Event
The Provincial Exhibition of Manitoba regrets to share that the Barrel Racing event at the 2026 Royal Manitoba Winter Fair has been cancelled.
We understand how important this event is to our exhibitors, participants, and fans, and we sincerely apologize for the disappointment this has caused. Please know that our team explored every possible option to move forward with the event and worked closely with partners and exhibitors to try and find a solution.
The decision to cancel was made due to external requirements that could not be met within the necessary timelines.
Our priority is always to provide a positive and equitable experience for our exhibitors and guests. We recognize the impact this has had and are committed to reviewing processes and requirements following this year’s Fair to ensure greater clarity moving forward.
We want to assure our community and participants that we are planning to bring Barrel Racing back to the Royal Manitoba Winter Fair in 2027, and we look forward to welcoming competitors and fans back for a successful event.
