10 thousand reasons to buy a ticket!

June 22, 2022

How would you spend $10,000.00 in prize money? Would it be all at once, splurge then save or surprise family members with a generous gift!

That’s exactly what the Provincial Exhibition of Manitoba wants people to start daydreaming about, and to buy tickets fast to avoid disappointment. $10,000.00 is up for grabs in the Maintain the Glory Raffle (LGCA-666-RF-37971). Tickets are now on sale for only $20.00 each.

“We love running these kinds of fundraisers, they are a win-win in every sense!” Kathy Cleaver is President of the Provincial Exhibition of Manitoba. Maintain the Glory is the final step in paying off the mortgage of the beautiful and historic Dome Building. “We have already come so far thanks to those who donated to this campaign, but it’s not over yet.”

An earlier and incredibly successful campaign Restoring the Glory ran from 2011 to 2018. Funds were raised to restore the Dome to the modern version of its former glory. The Dome, officially known as Display Building No. II, is the only known surviving building constructed for the Dominion Exhibition which was held in Brandon in June of 1913. It is designated as both a provincial and national historic site.

All money from the Raffle ticket sales will go directly to Maintain the Glory, more specifically to an endowment fund. For every $2 of capital contributions donated to the fund, the Province of Manitoba will contribute an additional $1.

“When I say win-win”, adds Cleaver, “I’m referring to how the raffle will help in the preservation of our beautiful and beloved building that is a community gathering place. Above all, the funds raised will allow us to leave a legacy for generations to come.”

The draw for $10,000.00 will be made October 29 on the final day of Manitoba AG-EX. There are only 3,000 tickets printed and are available now at the Dome Building or from any of the Provincial Exhibition of Manitoba Directors. Please note — raffle ticket purchases are cash only.
