June 5, 2025 The Manitoba Summer Fair kicked off on a high note with increased attendance on opening day, marking a strong start to this year’s event. We’re so happy to see the excitement from fair-goers and the positive atmosphere that has unfolded on the grounds.
One of the most notable aspects of the first day was the impressive security presence that ensured the safety of everyone attending. With a combined team of 31 security guards from BluJay Guard Solutions, seven officers from Brandon Police Service (BPS), six cadets, and four First Nations Safety Officers from Ebb and Flow First Nation, Sandy Bay First Nation and Long Plain First Nation, our team was fully prepared to maintain a safe environment for all guests. This collaboration between local law enforcement, cadets, and private security made for a dream team working together to provide peace of mind.

This year, we’ve introduced Smart Tec full-body screening equipment at the gates to enhance security further and speed up the entry process. The use of this cutting-edge technology allowed us to screen patrons with minimal delays while ensuring everyone’s safety. According to Brandon Police Service (BPS), this additional security presence helps deter potential troublemakers, contributing to a positive and peaceful atmosphere.
