Brandon, MB – June 5, 2025 – In response to the ongoing wildfires in Manitoba and the need for community support, the Provincial Exhibition of Manitoba, in partnership with the Keystone Centre, is excited to announce the Brandon/Westman Challenge. Inspired by the idea from our friends at the Keystone Centre, we’re calling on local businesses, organizations, and individuals to show their community pride and hospitality by gifting tickets to evacuees for the Manitoba Summer Fair.
The challenge invites local businesses and organizations to gift Ride All Day Passes to Manitoba wildfire evacuees, allowing them and their families to attend the Manitoba Summer Fair from now until June 8, 2025. These passes will give evacuees free access to rides and provide them with a much-needed opportunity to enjoy the fair during this difficult time.
“This initiative was inspired after I had the opportunity to gift tickets to a family of evacuees,” said Connie Lawrence, CEO & General Manager at the Keystone Centre. “It’s such an easy way to show our support, and it provides a fun, family-friendly experience for those who need it most. It’s a simple gesture that can help families make positive memories during a challenging time.”
Tim Rowan, Co-Chair of the Manitoba Summer Fair and Vice President of the Provincial Exhibition of Manitoba, adds:
“We’re excited to see our community come together to support those in need. This is a great opportunity for businesses, organizations, and individuals to gift tickets and help brighten the day of those affected by the wildfires. It’s a small way we can show that Manitoba is a place where people take care of each other.”
How It Works:
- Businesses and organizations can gift Ride All Day Passes through the Provincial Exhibition website here.
- When purchasing gifted tickets online, you can select how many tickets you would like to gift
- Once payment is processed, you will receive an email confirmation and receipt of your purchase.
- All passes will be delivered to evacuees in need through a local partnership, ensuring that tickets reach those who need them most.
- Discounted rates are being offered to allow for even more tickets to be gifted to families affected by the wildfires.
We are calling on our community to help us extend the warm hospitality that Manitoba is known for. Through this initiative, we aim to provide evacuees with a chance to take a break, enjoy family-friendly entertainment, and create positive memories during a difficult time.
